Careers

NLnet Labs offers internships to bachelor's (B.Sc.) and master's (M.Sc.) students residing in the European Union (EU).

Master projects typically have a duration of 6 months (36 ECTS) and bachelor projects run for 3-5 months (18 ECTS). If your are interested, please contact us with your proposal for a relevant project related to Internet technology and open standards. We have an overview of past student projects for reference and inspiration.

We actively work together with the Security and Network Engineering (SNE) master education from the University of Amsterdam, by hosting students for their research projects and by assisting in the DNS(SEC) courses.

For students residing outside the Netherlands, please note that NLnet Labs is unable to sponsor or arrange residence permits for internships.

Citizens of the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) – including Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein – and Switzerland can live and work in the Netherlands without a residence permit, subject to applicable conditions.
